About the Berkshires
ART & CULTURE
Williamstown — One of our favorite places to visit, combining incredible art, beautiful architecture, walking trails, and some very photogenic cows. The grounds alone are worth a visit.
North Adams — One of the largest contemporary art museums in the country and a Berkshires must. Leah has deep professional ties to the museum and has been lucky to see many artists she has worked with exhibit here over the years.
Williams College Museum of Art
Williamstown — A special place for Leah, who worked at the museum while at Williams and began her museum career there. WCMA is currently preparing for an exciting new chapter, with its first purpose-built museum scheduled to open in fall 2027.
We’re so excited to welcome you to the Berkshires, a place that has always been part of our story. Tyler was born and raised in Williamstown, and Leah went to Williams College. These connections are what ultimately brought us together! It remains a place we have deep ties to and return to often and so when it came time to choose where to get married, coming back to the Berkshires felt only natural. We hope you’ll make a weekend of it and enjoy some of our favorite places while you’re here.
While You’re Here
If you have some time between celebrations, here are a few of our favorite ways to enjoy the Berkshires.
EAT & DRINK
Williamstown — Our wonderful wedding caterers, the site of our first date, and a restaurant we’ve been returning to together for many years. A very special place for us.
Lenox — Our favorite restaurant in Lenox, right in the heart of downtown. A great choice for lunch, dinner, or a drink at the bar.
Williamstown — A beloved neighborhood coffee shop on Spring Street and a favorite haunt from Leah’s Williams days. Great for coffee, breakfast, or an afternoon pick-me-up.
The G.O.A.T. Sports Bar & Grill
North Adams — A casual local sports bar and one of Tyler’s longtime favorites. Come for a beer, a game, and classic bar food. (There’s also bowling, an arcade, and golf simulators.)
Lenox — A cozy local coffee shop right on Main Street and an easy stop for coffee while exploring downtown Lenox.
EXPLORE
Mount Greylock & the Appalachian Trail
Get out into the Berkshire landscape with a hike along a stretch of the Appalachian Trail, or take the scenic drive to the summit of Mount Greylock, the highest point in Massachusetts. On a clear day, the views from the top stretch for miles.
Explore the Towns
Spend an afternoon wandering around Lenox, Great Barrington, or Stockbridge, all with charming downtowns filled with independent shops, galleries, cafés, and restaurants. Williamstown and North Adams are also well worth exploring if you’re heading north for The Clark or MASS MoCA.
Stockbridge — Wander through 24 acres of gardens, with everything from perennial borders and a pond garden to native plants and historic gardens. A particularly lovely June activity.
